Piła Festival & Academy is an extraordinary musical initiative, which was set up 10 years ago by an outstanding violinist Bartłomiej Nizioł as well as Andrzej Czaja and Kamila Wiśniewska-Czaja.
I have a special honour to determine an artistic scope of the next festival edition. It is a great, an inspiring challenge that I accepted with pleasure.
I want Piła Festival to be the time of sharing a great passion for music in a group of outstanding and experienced instrumentalists and the most talented musicians of the young generation. The axis of the Festival will be determined by concerts on which the invited soloists, bands and orchestras will perform next to professors and students, and masterful consultations will be an opportunity for mutual inspiration and exchange of views. The most moving concert creations of students will be awarded - a group of educators will grant the Grand Prix and Artistic Personality awards at the end of Festival. The winners will receive cash prizes and proposals of solo concerts with Polish orchestras.
I hope that the Pila Festival will be for the performing artists, students and listeners a magnificent and deep experience to which we will be returning for a long time.
